*** We have updated our health testing program here at Invicta. It now include Optimal Selection's 40+ genetic health testing information. Nova has been found to be a carrier for MDR1 MEDICATION SENSITIVITY which is considered an autosomal recessive disorder, it SHOULD have NO EFFECT on her health, breeding or offspring. HOWEVER, there are studies out there and tests saying this disorder may have incomplete dominance which carriers can then also experience the drug sensitivities. To ensure breeder responsibility, she will not be allowed to breed to any kings that are carriers. Due to the risk or chance of incomplete dominance in this disorder, Nova will be re-evaluated with the only possibility of being breed to clean her lines and then retired. All her offspring will be tested prior to going to their new homes. Any kitten with carrier status will not be sold with breeding rights as we try to take the next step in providing the best Maine Coons we can. ***
